At the end of the day, it's his software and he can do what he wants with it, by forcing he's ensuring users are getting the best version available and this is, when all bugs are ironed out, a significant improvement.

"Don't like MPG files"...as 3r1c has written before when you chose your file it was just changing the file extension, not the file format... If the quality wasn't great then it's down to your original mkv most likely, as all mine have been fine.

What known problem ? I've never heard of it and used/deleted mpgs on all Windows OS's since 95!
It's a combination of Windows using codecs and starting to make a preview of the movie. That's why on some machines (I've had this problem before) Windows can't delete the files. I used Step.Brothers.UNRATED.720p.BluRay.x264-iNFAMOUS to test the x264 transcoding and saw a lot of noise in the images, something I never mentioned before. The x264 HQ transcode just finished, I now had 4 files in a total of almost 12GB...

The only pro is the higher speed of transcoding. I'm going back to the oldest version. Sorry for bothering but I'm just disappointed.

My query is, if you select AVCHD - USB, and say you have a 14GB mkv with DTS, will it split the files up into 4 m2ts files, all in the same STREAM directory ? Or does it automatically try and restrict the size to fit on a DL DVD ?
I can confirm after first file is created (3,99GB) M2V creates next one.
