Important: Do NOT choose a desination folder that is one folder below your source.
eg. Source: c:\movies\your.movie\your.movie.mkv
Destination: c:\movies
This configuration will result in conversion failure and your source will be deleted.
The source and destination need to be completely different folders, not one contained within another.

V2.4.1 20/Jan/2009
Fixed Audio/Video transcoding fails on CPU's with more then 6 cores.
Fixed AVCHD mode results in Muxing Failed under some conditions.
Due to the PS3 downscales 720p which is not exactly 1280x720 in AVCHD mode to 480p, such videos are now transcoded and black bars added.
The green bar removal patch appears to work fine with odd resolution 1080p video so no transcoding needed.

Will this release automatic genereate 448kbps ac3 sound when converting an movie withouth transcoding? Or must I do a special setting some where? Thanks for a great program.
from another thread:

"mkv2vob will not downsample 640kbps ac3, the 448 i was talking about applies to transcoding of DTS/AAC. it wont touch ac3 streams already in the mkv. "

well i just converted dts to ac3 and it is 444kbs instead of 640kbs and also the program is called mkv to vob how come it only mux to mpg i prefer m2st
Because mpg works on all streaming servers...
ok but is it possible to get the ac3 stream to downsample to 448kbps, or at least an click box so users have a choice to do so?
For one m2ts wont play on ps3 from removable drives or disc.
mpg extension works anywhere, streaming, disc, removable drive.
Everytime I install mkv2vob norton internet security 2009 deletes it saying "Auto protect blocked security risk suspicious MH690 Heuristic Virus"

So when i then go to run the program it will not allow me.
allow the file or disable Norton.
If you google "MH690 Heuristic Virus" you get a bunch of results of people complaining of this bug on other programs.
Its a problem with norton, there is already a thread on this in the bugs section.
