Doom9 is great site and I am one of the Active members of this site. I am surprised to hear that this site is banning the members of the mkv2vob. It may happen that the members had not followed the rules of the site.
You might be able to face the fact that one of the sites has feature that can't be see by other. This one would have a transparency to know the procedure and policy. Banning and warning visitors if questions are unanswered might be annoying to the viewers.
My good lord, that is one of the least-understandable posts I have ever read Tongue

Actually the mod was requesting a "loyalty test" from every person posting a bug, or requesting help in the normal use of the application.

This loyalty test included where you got the file and required you to prove ownership, and then followed up why you using the application since he considered as a original owner you could just start from the origin and convert it from there.

Failure to answer any of those questions to the mods sanctification resulted in banning.

This loyalty test he quoted was checking for potential breakers of the rules, but the way I read the rules it would require a self admition not determined by proxy, or entrapment. All users being guilty before proven innocent but hey there site there rules right.

I actually one day just started reading that massive thread Confused, personally I started seeing the author starting to get a bit antzy as the mod was actually sitting in his thread banning people bringing bug reports and asking for help.

The mod was actually running a personal quest I think, though I personally did not like him questioning people for using the software that's personally disrespectful to the author and its user base.

But again dooms site, im just glad the author no longer has to feel censored or having his user base overwatched by John Maclane with a oversensitive trigger finger.
great software, thanks! Strange forum, may not return, hmmm...
