mkv2vob Forums

Ever since the first release of mkv2vob in 2007 I have only posted it on the doom9 forums where it spread throughout many other sites.

I communicated with other mkv2vob users to get feedback and fix bugs through the doom9 forum.

Recently a moderator at doom9 is now asking mkv2vob users about where they get their mkv files and banning/warning them if the answer is not satisfactory.

I have setup this website to provide support/news related to mkv2vob unrestricted by doom9's rules.

From now on I will continue to update the doom9 thread with new release info for as long as the thread remains unlocked, but mkv2vob users are requested to post all questions at mkv2vob.com in order to avoid breaking the rules at doom9.

The moderator of doom9 has asked that I not respond to requests on the mkv2vob thread unless you make it clear that the source is not a downloaded mkv.

This is not meant to attack doom9, its moderators or members.
I just feel mkv2vob will continue to grow better if unencumbered by politics.

I love this tool and i think it's a very good thing to have done ITS website. One only thread on Doom9 for this tool is no more enough.

I agree, a post with 120+ pages will make it more or less impossible to find anything

I think this site will help 3r1c with better/more feedback to improve the program

This site is much better with all of the sub-topics and ease of navigation. I don't think that the release names should be an issue since there are no download links and whatnot but whatever, I guess Doom9 just wants to c.y.a. just in case. People will actually be able to find something in this forum as well which will be helpful in the reduction of redundant questions that kept popping up.

Doom9 takes forever for one to register his username. Searching the HUGE thread for the answer to a problem is a pain in the arse.. among other problems. Making this site is a very good decision.

Congratulations, 3r1c. You have done an equally great job by creating this site as by creating mkv2vob app itself. It is a pleasure to use the wonderful app, which has helped me out a LOT, from the time I first started using it (I think that was about the time you first created it). I am shocked to hear about the thing doom9's mod is doing. It is a ridiculous and unacceptable attitude which may actually frustrate a lot of potential and existing users of that site and also those who love and appreciate free software. What a humorous idea that folks get mkv files from sources which are "NOT DOWNLOADED" . I hope you will continue to develop this wonderful app of yours and also new ones, and continue to get love and support from across the globe. Bon Voyage!
