This release has been made beta because alot of how it works internally has changed.
The main change is how it reads details from the mkv.
Specifically report if any mkv's result in parse error.

Awesome! That was fast! Thanks 3r1c! :-D
Hi 3r1C,

GREAT APP!

I was wondering about your new added feature
Added "Use 448kbps AC3" will now downconvert 640kbps AC3.

Before you said this was exclusive for DTS - AC3, is this now the feature Ive been nagging about regardin downconverting an mkv with 640kbps sound, to 448kbps ac3 sound?

Regards,

Homerjay
DTS to PCM was a lot quicker in this version, how did you manage that 3r1c?

And I believe I can say all audio channels working fine also.

Awesome! Smile
Hi 3r1C,

I tested the new feautue with 2 movies, standard configuration, Output type FILE, Video transcoding Auto, Codec MPEG-2 and output file AUTO. I only checked "USE 448kbps AC3".

National.Treasure.2.Book.of.Secrets.720p.Bluray.x264-iAPULA (640kbps AC3)
Zack.And.Miri.Make.A.Porno.720p.BluRay.x264-NGR (640kbps AC3)

Before the clips started to MUX, since no video transcoding was necessary, the program says that "DOWNSAMPLING AC3". However when the file is complete the AC3 bitrate is the same and the filesize is exactly the same as the MKV.

Regards,

Homerjay

I the older/faster method (used in 2.4.2) combined with the 4gb fix from the beta 1.
Originally the 4gb fix did not work with the fast method because mencoder create little endian and it needs to be big. In beta 2 I did internal conversion and used the fast method instead of using mencoders much slower endian conversion.

Yeah, i just remembered i forgot to fix this.
I rushed this beta because i only had a little bit of time.
Probably tomorrow.
Hi 3r1c, is VC-1 codec compatible with AVC-HD? Maybe this is a silly question, because AVC is the codec in the name, but since blu-ray uses AVC and VC-1, maybe avc-hd supports VC-1
3r1c you are great!!! thanks!

So about - "Fixed Unicode bug in subtitle conversion." now we can using Hebrew subtitle without convert him before to UTF8?
I dont know if vc1 avchd works, i think it does, but never tested.
Everything in blu-ray should also work in avchd.

Yes you should be able to use any subtitles without converting to utf8.
