V2.4.4 16/Feb/2009
Added DTS can now be played from file without transcoding (Disc/Streaming). *
Added support for MKV with XviD/DivX video.
Fixed Drag and Drop not recognize ts and rar files.
Fixed AC3 skipping/stutter on some decoders.
Fixed Drag and Dropping a folder with "delete folder" checked may delete wrong folder.
Fixed "Error Transcoding Video" on MKV missing bitrate flag.
Fixed "Insufficient Disk Space" error when splitting to small fat32 drives.

* Do not change any settings in the ps3 that effects audio playback.
The PS3 must pass the DTS to your audio receiver untouched.
The options when you press triangle must be Audio: Left + Right and Volume: Normal.

Magnifique !

quick question can you get round the 4 GB file limit in this mode?

in AVCHD you can and it plays as BD disc . Does it do this in file mode or does it just add DTS to the movie but still needs to be in multiple files?
Still needs multiple files if your using a USB drive.
I have just tried converting an mkv with 5.1 DTS audio, however when played on PS3 it says that the audio is only 2 channel. This is using 2.4.4. Additionally, i have set the file to be split into 4gb files for FAT32, 2 of the files play but the other 2 do not. The PS3 reports one as being unsupported, and another as not having enough memory!
Can you play AVCHD from PS3 HD in this release or is it still external drive/ USB key or disc
Its fine that it says 2 channel, it will play 5.1.
Splitting might not work with DTS, I didnt test this, you probably need to check the "Dont use DTS in PCM" option.

No you cannot play AVCHD from the PS3 HD.
Ok, is there any scope for splitting support in future versions? Because most files with DTS audio are above 4gig so wudnt be supported on the ps3. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Uhhh PS3 plays files over 4GB fine through streaming, or if you copy then onto the hard drive. To copy them though you need to copy them over your network onto your PS3.

The 4GB limit only applies to external hard drives/usb sticks as the PS3 externally only supports FAT32.
