mkv2vob 2.4.5 Beta 1
V2.4.5 Beta 1 17/Feb/2009
Added DTS can now be transcoded to AC3 in AVCHD mode (if you want to reduce filesize).
Fixed "unsupported" or "out of memory" error on ps3 with some split files.
Fixed old ac3 encoder which causes stuttering still used when downsampling/fixing ac3.
Fixed DVD-5 split sometimes a few bytes too large.

This beta release cannot be downloaded via auto update.
You need to download and install it from the link below.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5 Beta 1
I may be reading the updates wrong but does this allow you to split the files to fat32 and still keep the dts or is that coming in another beta release? Thanks in advance.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5 Beta 1
I thought I saw someone talking about needing hdmi to play DTS from your PS3. Will it work with optical? I thought you only need HDMI for DTS-ES. I am only asking because I may need to go buy a new receiver. (Circuit city maybe lol). If i want to keep the DTS i just select 'use PCM instead of AC3' correct

Of course it will work with optical.
Use AVCHD mode and you can keep DTS with optical connection.
Now you can fool PS3 and have DTS from file too, using PCM trick.
It has nothing to do with PCM via HDMI option.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5 Beta 1
Many movies are cropped 1280x544 or below and it's not possible to Make an AVCHD structure playable on PS3. Is there any posibility to do something with this program and not transcoding the file? I really appreciate this Fix because I need only AVCHD. Thanks in advance.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5 Beta 1
Now that DTS works from a file, why would anyone still want to create AVCHD? [serious question, I don't know any other pros other than it allowed DTS]
