mkv2vob 2.4.5
V2.4.5 18/Feb/2009
Added DTS can now be transcoded to AC3 in AVCHD mode (if you want to reduce filesize).
Fixed "unsupported" or "out of memory" error on ps3 with some split files.
Fixed old ac3 encoder which causes stuttering still used when downsampling/fixing ac3.
Fixed DVD-5 split sometimes a few bytes too large.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5
We will see many people asking about DTS to AC3 case because 'AC3' is not in the option name.

Patching DTS?
What's this "Patching DTS" pass? One of the great things about the DTS trick was that it skipped the "DTS to AC3" pass, speeding things up; the "patching" takes every bit as long.

Hopefully it was just something wrong with the specific file I was running.

Patching DTS = tricking the PS3 into playing DTS in a file. It will happen every time you have DTS in a file and select "Output Type: file", unless you select "Always transcode DTS" and/or "Use PCM instead of AC3" (not sure on the latter).

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5
Did not happen with DTS files that I ran through 2.4.4 and the DTS files played fine with DTS audio. It just went straight to the "Muxing" pass, as it always did with AC3 files.

That was probably AC3 5.1 - Either mislabelled, or you read wrong?

I believe every file with DTS must be patched.

No it did not go straight to the muxing pass in 2.4.4.
"Patching DTS" was done in 2.4.4.

Either you did patching, or DTS to AC3.
It definitely never went straight to muxing, or your file did not have DTS.

RE: mkv2vob 2.4.5
Okay. I must have somehow missed the "Patching DTS" pass. It was two files, they both had DTS tracks and the generated VOBs both play back as DTS.
